Performances by the competitors are interspersed with pre-recorded documentary segments depicting: preparations by the television crew for the recording of the event; the competitors' experiences at the competition; glimpses of previous rounds of the competition, including performances by dancers not selected for the finals; the selection of the U.K. representative, Jamie [Jaimie?] Bond, and his first-round performance, Chase case, choreographed by Didy Veldman. The program includes a performance of Symbiont(s), danced by choreographer Wayne McGregor with Deborah Bull and members of the Royal Ballet, and concludes with the competition's awards presentation.
