Two run-throughs of the theme and variations 1-23 from Brahms/Handel. The version of variation 10 that is rehearsed differs from the version in the finished ballet, which is a duet for the two male principals. The corps parts were cut from variation 22. The role of the blue principal man is danced in the first run-through by Sean Lavery and in the second by Ib Andersen. There are a few brief interruptions during which Jerome Robbins gives directions to the dancers. Some of the principals' parts are marked, without lifts.
