Description
1 videocassette (VHS, NTSC) (45 min.) : sd., b&w; 1/2 in.
Summary
The first part of the tape records members of the American Theatre Laboratory setting up an art exhibit. The camera pans across constructions and objects. It is unclear whether this is part of an acting exercise. The remainder of the tape records an exercise in which members of the American Theatre Laboratory recite a description of the assassination of President Kennedy, from an untitled work in progress, while performing choreographed or improvisational movements. Jerome Robbins and the actors discuss this scene and the scene in which the character of Jacqueline Kennedy is sworn in by the commission, and how they should be staged.
