Description
1 videocassette (VHS, NTSC) (53 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
Summary
Rehearsal with the orchestra. The stage is frequently very dark, and the dancing is not always visible. In the first 30 min. of the tape, the excerpts are rehearsed out of sequence, and the male role of Morris is danced by a female dancer in male costume. Rudolf Nureyev may be the dark figure silhouetted downstage, occasionally seated in an armchair, who watches and directs the dancers. At 30 min. the rehearsal starts from the beginning of the ballet and continues without musical interruption for ca. 22 min. into the ballet, although some of the scenes are completely dark.
