Cassette 2. Research [excerpts] (ca. 23 min.) / recorded in studio rehearsal, in rehearsal clothes, at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center's Broadway studio, in 1983. The first section of the work (ca. 4 min.), seen in the stage rehearsal of cassette 1, is not recorded here. This cassette repeats some of the material recorded in the stage rehearsal, then continues to subsequent sections of the work.
