Summary
  1. This recording may have been given to Rudolf Nureyev by or on behalf of Kirov ballerina Ninel [also called Ninella] Kurgapkina, whom he partnered prior to his defection from Russia. Kurgapkina again worked with Nureyev in November 1989, while rehearsing the Kirov Ballet's production of La sylphide, in which he danced the role of James. She also assisted him in staging La bayadère for the Paris Opéra Ballet in 1992.
