Summary
[From wrapper:] "Trunk Stabilization Dance was choreographed in 2001 to enhance sustained and balanced engagement of lower abdominal and back muscles in all spacial orientations. Volutes was choreographed in 1995 by Irene Dowd and Peggy Baker as a trunk mobilization warm-up for dancers. Volutes involves moving with considerable momentum through an extreme range of motion, especially the spine, hip and shoulder joints. It provides enhanced flexibility for the 'tight' dancer and dynamic control for the 'loose-jointed' dancer."
