Summary
  1. Mary-Averett Seelye discusses the symbiotic relationship of poetry and movement, each enriching the other. She performs selections from the poetry of Josephine Jacobsen, who appears on camera to discuss her poems and her belief in the expressivity of gesture. Four of the poems, "Gentle reader," "Pondicherry blues," "A reason of numbers," and "The edge," are integrated, along with movement and visual art, into video works. "Pondicherry blues" is also presented in a "poetry bar" version, as though performed onstage.
