Mixer speciale. Omaggio a Nureyev (1993 ; ca. 29 min.) / telecast on Jan. 7, 1993, the day after Nureyev's death, on the series Mixer ; profile originally telecast on Mixer on Sept. 14, 1986, titled "Nureyev-Dupond, due stelle a confronto," by Vittorio Nevano and Paola Calvetti in collaboration with Brunella Lanaro ; directed by Vittorio Nevano. This program combines rehearsal and performance footage with interviews with both Nureyev and Patrick Dupond, then an étoile of the Paris Opéra. With the exception of a clip of Maurice Béjart's Chant du compagnon errant [Song of a wayfarer], the performance excerpts depict Nureyev's version of Don Quixote. Dupond and Nureyev are shown, one after the other, in the male variation from the Act III grand pas de deux, and later in excerpts from the coda.
