  1. Walter Terry, host, introduces John Kriza. Kriza speaks about his recent retirement as a principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre and the transition to his new administrative position with the company; his belief that Ballet Theatre had been the best company for his career; his audition and early roles at Ballet Theatre; learning techniques and roles by observing other dancers perform; his role in the ballet Billy the Kid; other contemporary and classical roles; appeal of roles requiring acting; comic roles in ballets such as in Agnes de Mille's Tally-ho; lack of interest in choreographing; love of the touring life; difficult early years of his career; guest performances outside of Ballet Theatre including acting and singing; his new position as assistant to Lucia Chase; his pig farm in Illinois; advice for today's dancers.
