Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans."
• Legends (chiefly nursery rhymes) or other text in pencil in the artist's hand with 66 drawings; some with further marginal annotations.

• Each vol. bound in natural linen; lower cover of v. 1 has lattice pattern sketched in pencil, with ms. notes and 2 pencil sketches regarding the binding design on lower free endpaper.
• Presented by the artist to Frederick Locker; each vol. inscribed: "Mother Goose, vol 1[-2]. Given to F. Locker by Kate Greenaway, 1882."
• With: ALS, 1941 June 18, from Locker's daughter, Maud Delmar Morgan, West Kilbride, Ayrshire, to G. Tyser, London. 2 p. on folded sheet, in envelope. Concerning the sale of the sketchbooks to Tyser.
