Summary
Instruction in three 18th-century social dances: the minuet, allemande and contredance. Carol Téten provides historical background on dancing during this period, including a brief discussion of Feuillet dance notation, which was used to record many dances. Each dance is taught step by step, then performed in full, in costume, to music of the period.
