  • Includes material on the play's historical background delivered by hosts Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson. At the first intermission (51:35), further information is offered on playwrights Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, and on their model for the play's central character, critic Alexander Woollcott, by Hart's widow, Kitty Carlisle Hart, and Kaufman's daughter, Anne Kaufman Schneider. The play is examined by director Jerry Zaks. At the second intermission (1:59:20), the renovation of the 42nd Street theater district, and of the American Airlines Theatre (formerly the Selwyn Theatre), where the play is being staged, is discussed.
