Summary

1. Third in a series of workshops in Graham technique taught by Dorothy Bird, a member of Martha Graham's company from 1931 to 1937. In this workshop, geared towards teacher training, she begins with reminiscences of Graham's teaching at the Cornish School in Seattle in summer 1930. She then leads the class through exercises intended to increase sensory awareness, muscle memory, and other qualities that Graham wanted to foster in her dancers of the time.
