- Summary
- In its 23-year-run, The Ed Sullivan Show presented an array of over 10,000 performers, including the biggest names in comedy, Broadway, variety, rock, and pop. This volume includes The Beatles in their U.S. television debut, Roy Orbison's "Oh, pretty woman," The Byrds' "Mr. Tambourine Man," The Fifth Dimension's "Aquarius," musical numbers featuring the original Broadway casts from My Fair Lady, Oliver!, Sweet Charity, and a very rare Camelot performance featuring Julie Andrews and Richard Burton. Also included, stand-up comic Phyllis Diller and impressionist Rich Little, and a feature of Ed Sullivan travelling the world in search of talent for his Sunday night showcase.
