- Summary
- Dorothy Bird, who danced with Martha Graham's company from 1931 to 1937, recreates exercises and movement sequences that she learned from Graham at the Cornish School in Seattle in 1930. Among these are exercises based on the choreography for Graham's Heretic. During the session, Bird relates her memories of Graham's classes, including the imagery that she used in her teaching. Scholarship student Sharon Neverson demonstrates the movements.
