Second in a series of workshops in Graham technique taught by Dorothy Bird, a member of Martha Graham's company from 1931 to 1937. The exercises reflect Graham's teaching at the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, in the early 1930s. Some are based on Graham's choreography of the time, such as the dances for Aeschylus's play Seven against Thebes, and Moment rustica.
