Summary
Selected segments from a television special. At the start of the program, Jimmy Durante sings, banters with performers representing the various arts, and introduces guest artists, including Rudolf Nureyev and Lynn Seymour. Beginning at ca. 7 min. into the tape, Nureyev and Seymour dance excerpts from Act II of La sylphide, including the duet with the poisoned scarf and the sylphide's death. After a brief chat with Nureyev, Durante embarks on a parody version of La sylphide, with comic dialogue, partnering an unidentified female dancer. This recording also contains Durante's closing song and the end credits of the show.
