  • Adapted from the libretto by Caigniez and d'Aubigny for Alexandre Piccinni's melodrama La pie voleuse, ou, La servante de Palaiseau.
  • Originally published 1815; two other English adaptations were published around the same time, attributed to Thomas Dibdin and S.J. Arnold.
