Summary

1. Begins with an introduction by Margaret Croyden, who also provides commentary at the program's midpoint, in between interview segments with Mr. Brook.
2. Director Peter Brook speaks of his recent trips through Iran and Africa with his troupe, known as the International Centre of Theatre Research, a multinational group of actors who lived communally and improvised outdoor performances in villages and fields. Mr. Brook discusses acting exercises and the nature of improvisation, as well as the language and cross-generational appeal of Shakespearean theatre.
