  • A modern dress version of Hamlet, which played the spring and summer of 1964, closing on August 8th, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, New York, N.Y. The three live performances of June 30 and July 1 were filmed in Electronovision/Theatrofilm, an electronic-optical process to record theater performances. The three renditions were edited into one, and released by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film played simultaneously in over 1000 movie theaters in the United States on Sept. 23-24, 1964.
