[Interview with Bertram Ross] (ca. 41 min.) / Ross, a dancer, actor, singer, and teacher, discusses his first sight of Mary Anthony, performing her dance solo Lady Macbeth ; his observations of her auditions and the qualities she emphasizes in her choreography ; his memories of Anthony as a young dancer ; working with her in Lamp unto my feet and other live religious television programs ; her work Threnody, which he describes as a "monumental dance" ; rallying around her, with other dancers, as she fought against eviction from her loft ; the qualities she seeks in dancers in her company ; her personal qualities, including her energy and her ability to give each dancer a sense of self-worth.

[Interview with Daniel Maloney] (ca. 40 min.) / Maloney, who describes himself as a choreographer and physical therapist, describes how he began to work with Mary Anthony ; the family atmosphere of her studio ; her rehearsal process, which provided a model for his own ; his early choreography, encouraged by Anthony ; sharing leadership of the Mary Anthony Dance Theatre with Anthony and Ross Parkes, with whom he shared the title of associate artistic director ; his fellow company members ; Anthony's grace under pressure ; Anthony's dance technique, which incorporated the principles of contraction and release, and the use of the Laban loops ; Anthony's sources of inspiration, and the importance of emotion in works such as Threnody ; Anthony's place in his life.
