  • Each part (livr.) unbound, in the original ivory illustrated paper covers, as issued weekly, Feb. 1842-Oct. 1843. Title page and added engraved t.p. for 2e série in pt. 29, for 3e série in pt. 57. Most parts have publisher's advertisements on p. [2-4] of covers. The 28 pts. comprising each vol. are contained in illustrated paper portfolios.
  • Each part has also special title, e.g. livr. 1, "Malbrough"; livr. 2, "Monsieur et Mme Denis."
  • Vol. 3 has title: Chants et chansons populaires de la France / notices par M. Du Mersan.
  • A few "notices" in the 1st series, most of those in the 2nd series and all of those in the 3rd series are by T.M. Dumersan; the rest are by Ourry, Le Roux de Lincy, and others.
