  1. The preservation of these videotapes was made possible through the cooperation of Eileen Herzog-Bazin, Comité Haïtien Art et Folklore, and the Jerome Robbins Archive of the Recorded Moving Image of the Dance Collection of The New York Public Library.
  2. Six camera original videotapes from this conference were destroyed by fire. Fortunately, a portion of each of the six videotapes had been transferred to VHS before the fire. This session is missing a section from the beginning of the panel. Some of the missing section, located on the VHS videotape, was added to this videotape.
