  1. Mixed media work combining music, dance, theater, and martial arts, based on the classic Chinese adventure series Journey to the west, by Wu Chʻeng-en. Major characters appearing in this new interpretation are Monkey (Sun Wu Kong); Kwan Yin, the goddess of mercy, medicine and healing; the priest Tang Seng; Pig (Zhu Baije); the ogre Friar Sand; and the Spider Queen.

  1. Disc 1 (41 min.): Act One (music only): Uproar in heaven; the dawn of Earth to ca. 100 CE. Scene 1, Monkey's origin ; Scene 2, Monkey meets the Dragon King and gets a new weapon ; Scene 3, Heaven tries to buy out Monkey ; Scene 4, Monkey wreaks havoc in heaven ; Scene 5, Buddha imprisons Monkey. At the end of this act, Fred Ho introduces the members of the Monkey Orchestra.
  2. Disc 2 (54 min.): Act Two (music/theater): The journey begins; Tang Dynasty, ca. 600-700 CE. Prologue -- Scene 1, The journey begins ; Scene 2, The coming of Pig ; Scene 3, The ogre, Friar Sand, joins the pilgrims -- Act Three (music/theater): Monkey meets the spider spirit-vampires.
