Summary

1. Brief interviews interspersed with footage of the dancers rehearsing onstage. Charles "Cookie" Cook and Ernest "Brownie" Brown recall how they started their careers. After dancing a brief duet, they talk about performing and finding material for their team, Cook and Brown. Leslie "Bubba" Gaines, who is initially seen dancing his special jumprope dance and other numbers, talks about boxing, developing the jumprope dance, and performing at the Cotton Club and in Europe prior to World War II. Cook then returns to dance, briefly joined by Brown.
