Summary
Rehearsal supervised by Rose Marie Wright, a member of Twyla Tharp and Dancers. Artistic director Robert Joffrey and balletmistress Diane Orio also appear on camera. In the first 6 min. of disc 1, Wright works in detail with Beatriz Rodriguez, who then dances the complete solo composing part I of the ballet. In the remaining footage, Wright works with Jan Hanniford and another female dancer, who are alternates in the woman's role in part II, and the five male dancers, who include Gary Chryst. Much of this rehearsal is conducted without music, and there is no complete run-through of part II on this recording.
