Summary
Rehearsal supervised by Michael Somes of the Royal Ballet, observed and assisted by Robert Joffrey, artistic director of the Joffrey Ballet. Working without musical accompaniment, Somes explains and demonstrates fine points of technique and performance to the three dancers (a woman, possibly Pamela Nearhoof, and two men). Alternate cast members occasionally appear on camera. The ballet is not performed in full on this tape, and there are numerous repetitions of the excerpts being rehearsed.
