Summary
Randy Barron, dancer and co-founder of City in Motion Dance Theater, a modern dance company and school based in Kansas City, Mo., talks about the company's activities, particularly its New Dance series, which provides performing opportunities to up-and-coming choreographers and dancers. He recalls his dance training, which began in Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 19, and continued at the Boston Conservatory of Music and with Don Farnworth in New York City. He has also served as artistic director of a regional ballet company in Sioux City, and dancer and co-director of the Westport Ballet in Kansas City.
