- Each part in the original yellow paper covers, as issued. Publisher's advertisements on p. [4] of covers. Prospectus ([2] p.) at beginning of pt. 2; publisher's notice regarding delay in printing the map on slip in pt. 3.

- Statement of responsibility on covers of parts varies. Pt. 1: From ... drawings ... by Dakin, architect; engraved on steel ... by Barnard & Dick ... " Pts. 2-7: "From ... drawings by celebrated artists; and engraved under the immediate superintendence of Mr. Dick ... "
- "The statement ... that the drawings are by Dakin is ... somewhat misleading; he did just six. But Dakin was an architect and may have directed the choice of the sites"--Deák.
