- Illustrated with facsimile of a map titled "Plan of the city of New York," engraved by C. Tiebaut after John McComb for The New-York directory, and register, for the year ... (1789-1796).
- Prefaced with "Description of New York in 1786," by Noah Webster (pages iii-xii), originally published as "General description of the city of New York," in The American magazine, March 1788, pages 220-229.
