Biography
Playwright, actor, director, singer and writer. From an early age Brimm appeared with the American Place Theatre, the Manhattan Theatre Club, the Negro Ensemble Company, the New Federal Theatre, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and the San Francisco Actor's Workshop; he also appeared in commercials (once nominated for a "Cleo" award), and in various TV programs. Thomas Martell Brimm wrote, directed and performed in "Like it is" for Gil Noble on ABC TV. He also wrote and staged "The traveling minstrel and variety show," a dramatization, with music and dance, of the artist's relationship to the society in general and to the government in particular. He has recorded for Richie Havens at MGM and for John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, and toured North and South America and the British Empire with his own band.
