Ms. Jones discusses her first experiences with the José Limón Dance Company and working with Doris Humphrey as artistic director; Humphrey's work Corybantic; the relationship between Humphrey and José Limón; other memories and observations of Humphrey and Limón as people, teachers, and artists; the Humphrey and Limón techniques; her ideas regarding spirituality in dance; her perception of Limón's attitude toward religion; Limón's work Missa brevis; and the creation of Limón's A choreographic offering.
