Berg copy 1: Presentation copy to Thomas Jefferson Hogg, with his ownership inscription on the front pastedown of volume 2 (“T: Jeff.n Hogg from the / Author”). – In original pink paste paper boards, with original printed spine labels. -- Within full black morocco slipcase, made by Riviere & Son, with ornate gilt decorations and red morocco inlays on spine and covers. -- Acquired by Owen D. Young through James F. Drake, December 1, 1926.
