Mr. Diaz discusses his family background; his mother's illness; political activism; early dance experiences and the influence of his father; coming to terms with his homosexuality; the changing role of dance in his life; physical ailments; the importance of individual advocacy for AIDS patients; the development and inspiration for his "body bag" dance; his spiritual awakening as the result of his illness; dance as emotional catharsis; identifying with Latino culture; and living with AIDS.
