Mr. Effron, a member of Anna Sokolow's company, talks about the upcoming season at the Hunter College Playhouse; two new works being premiered; the 12-member company; rehearsing at the Clark Center; Sokolow's works for other companies; Sokolow's place in the family tree of dance; her work as it relates to young people; her work with actors; his first meeting with Sokolow; and his appreciation of what he considers her honest approach to her work. Mr. Moore, director of the Association of Black Choreographers, discusses the founding of the organization which assists black choreographers in developing their work in many dance forms; his own dance background; membership eligibility; workshop programs; performance information; and future plans.
