Summary
  1. Memorial service in honor of dancer, teacher, and choreographer Marion Durham Cuyjet, who died in October 1996. In addition to speeches and performances, the service includes letters from tap dancing teacher Eleanor Harris; author Melanye P. White-Dixon; Judith Jamison, artistic director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; and Joan Myers-Brown, director of Philadanco ; a video of Marion Cuyjet as she appeared at a Classic Black seminar in New York in February 1996 ; and candid footage of an exhibition of memorabilia and a reception following the service.
