  • This edition is known to exist in four variants. In variant 1, the paper has no watermark. Variant 2 is printed on thicker paper with watermark J/1808 or JB/1818. Variant 3 is variant 2, but with the "II." in running title on p. 82 askew. Variant 4 same as variant 3, but with no period after the "I" in running title on p. 20. (cf. Randolf, F.L. Byron, pages 42-45).
