A posthumous collection of Poe's works, the rights given over by Mrs. Maria Clemm to Griswold, Lowell, and Willis. Vol. I, Tales; vol. II, Poetry; vol. III, The Literati; vol. IV, Miscellaneous Works.
The first three volumes are bound in brown cloth; stamped in gold and blind; pale yellow endpapers. Vol. IV is bound in brown cloth and stamped in blind, but in a different pattern; the gold stamping on the shelfback also distinguishes it from the first three volumes.
Title pages of Vol. III and IV vary; vol. IV dated 1856.
