C211633) includes stamps of: "Division of Negro Literature and History;" Property of the City of New York;" and "The New York Public Library: Circulation Department, 135 Street Branch, 103 West 135th St." is parts of the Circulation Department, and probably pre - 1926 purchase. Imperfect: lacks original cover; treated; rebound in light black cloth over boards and gilt spine. Copy 2 in Sc Rare 070 P: bound in publishers original mustard yellow cloth over boards with red and black colored illustrated front cover.
