Keswick 22 Feb.y 1836") at the foot of the title page of volume 1 (MISC 4610). -- With the bookplates of the American businessman John Gribbel (volume 1 only), the American surgeon and book collector Dr. Otto O. Fisher (volumes 1-2), and Arthur Henry Davenport (armorial, volumes 1-2). -- Drab boards rebacked with green cloth, original green moiré cloth with printed paper labels preserved in part and mounted; untrimmed; in red cloth folder within red morocco and cloth slipcase with gilt titling on back. -- Acquired through the auspices of the Pforzheimer Foundation on March 16, 1971, through Ximenes; Swann sale, no. 843, lot 182.
