Summary
  1. World premiere of a dance/theater work set in 18th-century Paris, depicting Madame Montaigue as she writes to her sister about a gathering in a salon, a lesson with a dancing master, Italian actors at a fair, and a benefit for dancers at the Opéra, starring Marie Sallé -- occasions for social, popular, and theatrical dances. The work was produced as the culmination of a Baroque Ballet Festival held at Jarvis Conservatory in 1995.
