Documentary on choreographer Pina Bausch and her company, the Wuppertaler Tanztheater, recorded during the making of a German telecast of Bausch's The rite of spring (for this telecast, see *MGZIC 9-416 The rite of spring). The company is seen in rehearsal, performing for the camera, and behind the scenes at the television studio. In addition to discussing the telecast, the narration and the interview with Bausch also touch upon her earlier works for the company, her approach to choreography, and the legacy of Kurt Jooss and German expressional dance.
