Luigi discusses the circumstances of his birth and his family; his early dance training with his brother; first performances; performing with Ted Lewis; joining the navy; the end of World War II; going to California and studying at the Falcon studio under the G.I. bill; his severe injuries from an auto accident and his recovery; using ballet barre exercises in his recuperation; auditioning for Gene Kelly; being involved in motion pictures and continuing to work in clubs; his first choreography job; and Bob Alton encouraging him to teach.
  2. Cassette 2. Luigi discusses the relationship between his rehabilitation process and the development of Luigi jazz dance technique; bringing the technique from Hollywood to Broadway; and solidifying the international spread of his technique.
