Summary
Prints depict smoking, particularly in taverns where there is also drinking, card and game playing, reading, music, and men and women in amorous situations. There are also domestic scenes, showing families around the hearth, and men and women sitting together at tables. Also included is a print of monkeys in clothing, smoking, and a portrait of Jan Steen standing next to a self-portrait.
Plate marks, when present, range from 6.5 x 6.5 cm. to 27 x 38 cm.
