  • Originally filmed in 1939 without sound as a work film with the original cast of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo in practice dress. Music was added in 1981 by Frederic Franklin, assisted by John Mueller. While the relation of music to dance is likely to be close to Massine's intentions, it should not be taken to be definitive.
