Documentation of dances performed at an all-night, intergenerational thanksgiving celebration, set in a gymnasium. Point Hope, located on the north slope of Alaska, is home to the Tikarak people, an old Arctic culture that bases its lifestyle on whaling. The dances on this tape, accompanied by singing and drumming, are performed by both sexes and all ages, as solos or in groups of various sizes. Scenes of the Alaskan landscape conclude the tape.
