57 prints on 46 sheets : etching, lithograph; 31.9 x 26.9 cm. or smaller.
Summary
Images of wild and domestic animals and birds, including bears, bison, boars, cats, deer, dogs, ducks, eagles, elephants, foxes, goats, herons, otters, peafowl, pheasants, pigeons, pointers, swans, swine, tapirs and watchdogs. One print (Elephants, bear climbing a tree, etc.) appears instead to depict prehistoric mammals, including mammoths and a ground sloth. Two prints illustrate a Fable by La Fontaine, The Stag and the Vine and were intended for an edition published by Jouaust in 1873. Two other prints depict trees, including a willow.
