Summary
Rudolf Nureyev applies make-up for the title role of Michel Fokine's Petrouchka. Nureyev says little during the process, although he converses briefly with Jac Venza, executive producer for Great Performances. This sequence (ca. 12 min.) is followed by ca. 5 min. of footage recorded on the soundstage, where producer/director Emile Ardolino is seen working with the television crew. Robert Joffrey, director of the Joffrey Ballet, also appears briefly on camera.
