Summary
  1. Documentary on the creation of A momentary order, a modern dance work choreographed by Doug Varone during a nine-month residency in Lewiston, Maine. The work, co-commissioned by the Bates Dance Festival (director, Laura Faure) and LA Arts, was created in partnership with the Franco-American community of Lewiston, many of whom are descendants of textile-mill workers. Varone and his collaborators Hyams-Hart and Boothe discuss the evolution of the piece and their ongoing interchange with the residents of Lewiston. The world premiere performance of the work concludes the program.
